Job Title: Heat Treater B
Location:
Reports To: Leadperson
Summary: Performs essential job functions under limited supervision to meet customer specifications including assisting other employees as needed.
Requirements (Qualifications & Skills):
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience Necessary: Minimum 2-3 years experience.
Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Must have working knowledge of heat treating, testing, commercial/aircraft/aerospace materials.
Must have basic knowledge of metallurgy, temperatures, etc.
Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., bend, lift, climb, stoop and stand for prolonged periods.
Work Environment: Regularly exposed to heat, dust, noise, humidity, fumes, etc.
May be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends.
Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift operator certification.
Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures and accept constructive criticism.
Essential Job Functions (Duties & Responsibilities):
Operates, controls and monitors heat treating equipment.
Follows written procedures on shop traveler and/or customer paperwork.
Prepares work for processing.
Loads and unloads furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
Brings any irregularity to leadperson or management.
Promotes safety and good housekeeping practices.
Must work in a manner consistent with the EMS.
Knowledge of Vacuum Furnaces.
Performs other tasks as assigned or dictated by position.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
