Job Details:
Supporting and teaching expectant mothers and their support person, post delivered parents in the neonatal period and the community in a structured classroom program using an interactive teaching style. Serves as a resource person to support the Cleveland Clinic Birthing and Neonatal Services, as well as the community.Skills and teaching ability: Demonstrates the ability to transfer information from class curriculum to class participants with the use of creative techniques. Maintains knowledge of correct information to share with colleagues and keep curriculum current. Demonstrates to manager, peers and class participants group facilitation skills for interactive teaching. Demonstrates sensitivity to pregnant and parenting mothers, fathers, and other family members in a supportive and interactive teaching environment. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: BSN required if in designated nusring speciality areas. All other areas Bachelors of Science or other Health related field required. Required to demonstrate expertise or certification in the speciality area of instruction. Group facilitation skills for interactive teaching required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Ohio RN licensure required if in designated nursing speciality areas. Certification or other documented education/training in the area of expertise required. Current CPR certification for Health Care Provdiers required. Required to present evidence of certification renewals upon expiration dates. COMPLEXITY OF WORK:
REQUIRED
Experience: 1 year experience or certification/demonstrad knowledge in the specialty area of instruction.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures. MEDICAL STAFF APPROVAL:
