Job
Summary:
The Insurance Specialist provides extensive support service covering all aspects of claims management, including review, initiation, completion, submission, and direct follow up to the appropriate third-party payers.
Setting: Corporate Office Setting Hours: Monday thru Friday - 8:00am to 5:00pm
Dress: Business Casual Attire
Education/Certifications Required: High School Diploma or GED
Must Have:
Knowledge of third-party billing rules and regulations Working Knowledge of coding and medical terminology Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changes in polices, regulations and procedures Attention to detail Ability to interact effectively with others Ability to consistently meet production and quality goals Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Follow up with and resolve outstanding accounts receivable balances Respond to payer correspondence Submit appeals for denied claims Process requests for insurance payments retractions Research and resolve over payments Investigate electronic claim rejections Undertake special projects as assigned

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
