Technical Support Representative
Compensation: $12.00 - $18.00
Fidelity Systems, a local small business in providing IT Managed Services Solutions and business process services to organizations throughout Northeast Ohio has an opening for a Systems Administrator I. Overall, this position will provide desktop/laptop support along with network and server administration and support for clients.
Specific responsibilities will include the following:
- Support software installations, patch cycles, new machine builds, account management, network performance monitoring, including back-ups and recoveries, data protection and integrity, and general Q&A of user base.
- Support and prioritized tickets, along with creating detailed documentation in the help desk tracking systems.
- Engage users directly or remotely utilizing a variety of support tools to ensure timely follow-up and resolution of all tickets.
- Document, track, and monitor incidents from start to finish.
- Identify, research, and resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with team on projects or issues as required.
- Travel to other field offices and sites west and east of Cleveland, as required.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a majority of the following skills, knowledge and abilities:
- Ability to quickly analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve software and hardware problems.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, especially the ability to listen and understand issues.
- Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products, including MS Office and Windows.
- Ability to apply network troubleshooting fundamentals and resolve issues or escalate if necessary.
- Willingness to travel to field offices as required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- BA or BS college degree in a technical discipline or 1-2 years of related technical experience.
