The Product Manager is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, operations, marketing, and customer support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
The Product Manager's role will include the use of a gating system to guide the product through the development cycle to ensure the product is achieving the goals outlined.
This position will have a heavy focus on vending machine parts that support OEM and VE machines.
Determines market and customer needs by identifying and conducting market research Recommends the appropriate parts to manufacture based on market research, sales, and the competitive landscape.
Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitive products.
Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
Completes cross-functional operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Other duties as assigned Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in a related field required; MBA a plus.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in product management and development of relevant consumer products (i.
e.
OEM, OPP, etc) preferred.
Job-Related Experience/ Skills/ Competencies Experience in alternate disciplines, such as retail marketing, advertising campaigns, national media strategies, e-commerce, engineering, product support or sales.
Working knowledge of production schedules, and how to create an effective product launch brief.
Must be adaptable with the ability and willingness to efficiently manage multiple priorities and business demands that continuously shift in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong strategic thinking with the ability to lead the development of effective tactics.
Strong business acumen with demonstrated financial analysis ability is required.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively lead/facilitate teams.
Able to work effectively with internal and external resources.
Must be willing to get your hands dirty by spending time in the operational facility working along side the operations team to learn and identify needed parts.
Strong written and verbal communication skills including effective presentation skills, one-on-one communication, creative writing, technical writing, and report writing.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Organized.
Attention to detail.
Results-oriented.
Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
Team player with an entrepreneurial drive and high integrity; Positive attitude and ability to motivate and energize others.
Must be willing and able to work outside of regular business hours, including nights and weekends.
