Summary:
Fiberworx uses recycled plastic materials to create a clean and lightweight synthetic fiber used in numerous commercial applications such as padding, linings, insulation, and industrial filters.
Fiberworx currently focuses on automotive applications and supplies material to 1st tier customers for both thermal and acoustic products.
The company operates multiple lines including thermally bonded PET, needle punched PET, toll compounding, as well as other secondary processes.
Objective:
The Production Supervisor will oversee and manage productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work.
They will maintain high product quality and manufacturing yield while ensuring optimal use of resources and adherences to best safety practices and company policies/procedures and hold associate's accountability with disciplinary actions as needed.
They will also need to develop a working proficiency of all major production equipment to be able to step into different roles as production requires it.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the production process, ensuring that products are manufactured to the highest quality standards, and delivered on time and within budget Plan and schedule production activities to meet customer demand and production targets Ensure that all production equipment is properly maintained and operated in accordance with safety guidelines and company policies Implement and maintain quality control procedures, and ensure that all products meet customer specifications Hire, train, and supervise production staff including two shift supervisors, and ensure that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures Provide coaching and feedback to production staff to improve performance, and implement corrective action when necessary Monitor inventory levels and ensure that production schedules are adjusted accordingly to avoid stockouts and excess inventory Maintain accurate production records and report on key performance metrics to management Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements, and implement changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment Must be able to drive a tow motor and provide proof of experience Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and other production software applications Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations Offers of employment will be contingent upon satisfactory results of medical exams, drug tests, and background checks.
