Duties Developing, coordinating, and completing system change request proposals to ensure standard systems application DoD wide legislative, migratory, and enhancement.
Coordinates with other team members, user representatives, and proponent agents on final recommendation to management on the subsequent fielding or movement of system changes into production.
Coordinates with external agencies/offices and internal offices in the development of systems interfaces and valid system requirements, providing technical advice, gaining cooperation, and resolving problems resulting from normal system updates.
Assigns taskings for requirements research, system effects, procedures, and policy restatements.
Validates functional requirements documentation to ensure compliance with existing statutes and DoD functional policy.
Assists in conducting reviews of the DJMS systems update operating results.
Applies a wide range of financial systems related expertise in evaluating the performance of the DJMS system.
Recommends and implements changes in procedures and software to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the automated military pay systems.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a U.

Obtain/Maintain Financial Management Certification QualificationsOne year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade, GS-11, within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
GS-12 Specialized experience is defined as:
experience performing financial systems analysis in support of financial management principles as they relate to automated military payroll operations and systems processing; applying investigative techniques related to military payroll; ability to research and analyze military payroll directives and regulations to assess their impact on current and planned systems operations.
Time-in-Grade:
Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service.
EducationThe substitution of education for specialized experience is not applicable at this grade level.

Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position.
