Position OverviewThe Financial Paraplanner is responsible for developing and executing on client relationships and financial and investment plans in collaboration with Managing Advisor and other service team members to provide exceptional client experience.
The position is client-facing with the objectives of enriching lives while earning trust, building plans and delivering results.
In this role, the advisor may be the primary client relationship manager or may work in a support role with the lead advisor, depending on individual client needs.
Essential Day-to-Day Duties and Activities Go above and beyond for clients:
Work with internal teams to deliver world-class customer service to existing clients and new prospects Work with clients to understand needs and case design through fact-finding, collecting and analyzing information regarding client risk tolerance, long and short-term goals, income, assets, investments, debts, and other financial information Advise clients in terms of the advantages, risks, and disadvantages of different products and strategies Maintain necessary licenses and registrations as required Work with other financial, tax, legal, and estate planning professionals in order to offer clients holistic financial planning Identify and recommend appropriate asset management, financial and estate planning advice to deliver a great client experience.
Assist or lead in the creation of asset management reports to be delivered to clients.
You may play a lead or support role in delivering these reports.
Display professional communication skills with responses to clients, advisors, and team members by phone, email, and written communications.
Maintain contact with clients to answer general questions about financial planning, investment(s) and allocation Utilize CRM for documentation and processing of client data, tasks, financial accounts and policy adherence All aspects of pre-client meeting activities such as scheduling, data gathering, preparation of meeting agendas, client paperwork, asset allocations and reporting.
Complete and work with external vendors to complete all paperwork, digital forms, or web based processes required to open accounts, make transfers, complete contributions and distributions, and any other activities required by clients.
Attend and participate in client meetings as required.
Complete client meeting notes and follow-up tasks as required.
Prepare client reports and presentations using financial planning software and tools.
Experience and Education At least 3 years in a paraplanner or Advisor assistant position Demonstrated ability and commitment to goals-based planning and advice A valid and active Series 7 and/or 66 (63/65) license A valid and active Life, Health and Long-Term Care Insurance license Bachelors degree in finance, business, economics, or related field preferred Experience with Fidelitys Wealthscape Platform and Salesforce Preferred The Ideal Candidate Models the Following Personal Competencies:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
