The role of the Technical Specialist is to enhance, optimise, streamline and secure the processes and solutions involved around all aspects of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) including complementary systems such as 1E Shopping. To provide full support and technical ownership for MECM (SCCM) systems management and monitoring, including licence management and any Cloud related services. They should be a point of knowledge for the main MECM technologies used within the Data Centres, while providing support and consultancy to Global Divisions. Your Role Provide technical support and advice/consultancy to meet service level agreements and deliver customer satisfaction efficiently and effectively. Projects - Ensure project deliverables are met within Corporate IT procedures and to agreed time, cost and quality. Documentation creation - The ability to document standards and procedures clearly and concisely. Manage and support of Microsoft MECM/Windows environment and provide technical support and guidance. Review of desktop vulnerabilities, testing and deployment of patches and software for all endpoint devices, troubleshooting software and application installations. Plan/coordinate deployments to all endpoints enterprise wide. Create, deploy, and maintain OS images through MECM. Collaborate with application owners on remediation of vulnerable software through MECM updates. Track of all work assigned and ability to provide daily updates to management. Collaborate with Endpoint Lifecycle team to address/resolve enterprise-wide end user computing issues. Manage a combination of short- and long-term projects aimed at continual improvement within the environment. Provide security consultancy and remediation for all MECM related findings. Facilitate problem solving and collaboration with peers and colleagues alike. Provide training to Endpoint and IT Operations team members on relevant technologies and features to divisional and location administrators. Research emerging technologies in support of systems development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and systems flexibility. Staying updated with new technologies and best practices, while participating as a 'Subject Matter Expert' in enterprise-wide technology change programs which influence computing systems infrastructure environment Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance while reporting on findings and make recommendations for improvement. Your Profile 10 or more years in a related field ideally a 24/7 IT Data Centre environment, managing both software and hardware elements Bachelors degree (BA/BS) in a related field of study Advanced knowledge and experience in all aspects of MECM Advanced understanding of Microsoft security and patching policies Strong background in PowerShell and scripting Experience with PowerBI reporting Strong project management skills Excellent problem solving, documentation and communication skills Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal with demanding situations Strong communication written and verbal skills to facilitate the need to work consistently and professionally with users at all levels within the organization, also with peers and colleagues Self-starter, team player able who can motivate other team members Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities Ability to conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Salary Range:
$150K -- $200K
Minimum Qualification
System & Network AdministrationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
