Summary:
This Quality Technician needs to be the lead technician and is responsible for the quality control of products, throughout the manufacturing process and the maintenance of the measurement and test equipment program.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/STANDARDS:
Inspection of in-coming, pre-assembled raw parts, assemblies and final products.
Identifies non-conformance and initiates corrective action.
Records and maintains inspection records.
Utilizes appropriate inspection equipment.
Initiates, develops, and implements control plans Maintains Measurement and Test Equipment Program (MT&E).
Performs calibrations and maintains calibration program.
Conducts appropriate statistical studies for MT&E.
Conducts Product and Process Floor Audits.
Serves as a Quality Resource on Production Floor.
Assists the Department Manager.
PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY, FLEXIBILITY & INITIATIVE:
Initiates action to prevent the occurrence of any quality deficiencies relating to the product, production process, employees or other related department processes (quality system).
Identifies and communicates any problems relating to the quality system.
Initiates, recommends or provides solutions/improvement opportunities.
Assists in the implementation of solutions/improvement.
Ensures that the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected before continuing production/service.
Demonstrates initiative to learn new skills or expand job roles.
Effective use MT&E and the maintenance of said equipment.
Demonstrates support for and serves as an example of quality excellence.
Exhibits flexibility of work schedule to meet production schedule demands.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Must meet Company's requirements for employment.
EDUCATION 2-year Associate Degree in math/engineering or Mechanical engineering preferred.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS Minimum 5 years Quality/Inspection experience, calibration and metrology background preferred.
Ability to read engineering instructions and drawings.
Ability to work independently and prioritize work activities.
Ability to utilize basic statistical methods.
