Summary:
Contribute to and support the delivery of exceptional products that meet or exceed client expectations, including quality standards, delivery and cost.
Must be able to identify and support opportunities for improvement in all aspects of operations and make relevant recommendations.
At HP Manufacturing the Quality Control Lead plays a key role in monitoring and improving quality standards for all manufactured products.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
Support and maintain quality control objectives, coordinating objectives with production and other departments.
Must be proficient in common inspection techniques Approve all finished products by confirming specifications and conducting required tests Return products for re-work if needed and complete documentation to confirm re-work Document and update inspection results by completing reports and logs Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications Participates in defining and executing plans to maximize quality, reliability and minimize costs.
Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to quality, inspections and reliability.
Analyzes and resolves production problems and assists employees to ensure lasting resolution of issues.
Investigate customer complaints regarding quality, analyze information and present root cause, countermeasures and process improvements to management.
Assist with internal and external audits including new supplier qualification.
Perform and support the inspection processes throughout operations including planning and work in process observation.
Produce certificates of conformance's for clients maintaining all records and appropriate documentation.
Maintain and support the ISO 9001 Quality System to ensure compliance.
Maintain client inspection files.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in related field or Equivalent relevant experience Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality role Creative team player with strong initiative, bias for action, and flexibility Excellent problem solving and root cause analysis including implementation of corrective and preventative actions Experience with ISO-9001 Quality Procedures High attention to detail Effective communication skills written and verbal Proficient understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures Excellent attention to detail Good team player who can work efficiently with minimal supervision Ability to prioritize multitask and prioritize workload CMM Programming/Inspection experience Job Type:
