Clinical Application Analyst II (Hybrid)

The position is visible to clinicians with significant impact on patient safety, JCAHO, HIPAA, departmental and patient workflow.
The Clinical Analyst II is responsible for independently providing major enterprise application configuration support as well as other applications as assigned to enhance operational efficiencies and patient safety.
oPerforms needs assessment, software design, implementation, support, and reporting.
oIndependently facilitates design of clinical workflow in conjunction with the clinicians; workflows will focus on improved efficiencies, solving complex workflow issues and incorporating quality initiatives.
oCoordinates and participates in unit and integrated testing activities of the software to ensure that the design objectives are met, including the development of testing scripts.
oParticipates in change management activities to support successful system deployments and enhancements.
oLeads components of development of end-user training materials and participates in training efforts.
oAssists other team members in ensuring good documentation standards.
oLeads escalation of issues with appropriate internal resources.
oIdentifies and analyzes moderately complex issues with vendor assistance and brings problem tickets to resolution.
oDevelops policies and procedures in collaboration with clinicians, other system analyst team members, and IT Clinical team manager.
oIndependently manages components of application upgrades and troubleshooting efforts.
oSupports and troubleshoots Hospital Information Systems interfaces for inbound/outbound and billing orders.
oCreates reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools to support customer base.
oCreates and maintains appropriate system documentation.
oWorks with other clinical and application analysts to insure system integrations.
oUtilizes and maintains appropriate change control procedures and standards.
oProvides direction to junior team members.
oPerforms call rotation duties as required.
Qualifications:
Education.
oHigh School diploma or GED required.
oBachelor's degree in related field preferred Required Credentials, License, and / or Certifications.
oWill maintain clinical licensure as required by state law.
oStrongly recommended Epic certification in Radiant or Optime Experience & Knowledge:
oMinimum 3 years of IT experience supporting applications is required.
oMinimum 2 years of experience in a clinical environment is highly desired.
oMust be detail-oriented and organized, with good analytical and problem solving ability.
oNotable client service, communication, presentation and relationship building skills required.
oAbility to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment required.
oMust have strong written and verbal communication skills.
oDemonstrated ability to use PCs, Microsoft Office suite, and general office equipment (i.
e.
printers, copy machine, FAX machine, etc.
) required.
oKnowledge of MS Visio and Project required.
oKnowledge of SQL databases required.
oKnowledge of LAN, DNS, and networking required.
oAbility to work with servers and apply software upgrades required.
oKnowledge of disaster recovery and backup procedures required.

oLaboratory systems (CoPath, Soft Lab, HCLL Blood Bank) oRadiology systems oPACs oOTTR oPharmacy systems (Management, dispensing) oEclipsys Sunrise Clinical Manager oPerioperative systems (Picis) oCardiology systems (HeartLab) oHome Health systems oEmergency Department systems oAmbulatory EMR systems oDocument Management systems This role encounters Protected Health Information (PHI) as part of regular responsibilities.
