Summary:
The Grant Development Coordinator is responsible for improving, administering, and documenting College Now's grant-related processes, including tracking actions and information in the donor database (currently Raiser's Edge) and SharePoint filing systems.
This position will include report writing, and it is expected to grow over time to include grant inquiry, application, and proposal writing.
Essential Functions:
Process grant-related documents (inquiries, proposals, applications, reports, budgets), deadlines, and other pertinent information in donor database (currently Raiser's Edge) and SharePoint systems using naming and filing conventions, ensuring 100 percent accuracy of deadlines and other information.
Produce and circulate a monthly report of grant-related action deadlines from the donor database and conduct routine auditing of deadlines and their statuses.
Support the development and implementation of a formalized internal grant award notification process across the organization; manage ongoing implementation.
Become proficient in using and managing online grant application and reporting systems to support submission processes and manage all login information.
Research data and trends via US Census, National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, Bureau of Labor Statistics, National College Attainment Network, US Department of Education, Ohio Department of Education, Ohio Department of Higher Education, among others, and establish a compendium with key community statistics and information that demonstrate need for support.
Collaborate with finance and program departments to become familiar with and knowledgeable about internal and external systems, data, and data sources to efficiently gather and update information in standard language and documents.
Assist in generating and preparing reports for donors for grant-funded activities.
Provide support for College Now special events as needed.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; English, communications, or journalism degree preferred Minimum three years' work experience; non-profit experience preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability and initiative to work independently, proactively, and strategically Willingness to be part of a team and work with a variety of stakeholders Exceptional attention to detail required Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and deadlines Skilled in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel; facility with Microsoft Teams and Raiser's Edge or similar a plus Experience with AmeriCorps, Ohio Department of Education, and/or US Department of Education grant programs also a plus
