Compliance Specialist

SUMMARYThe Compliance Coordinator works closely with multiple departments coordinating compliance activities relating to resources EDEN is providing to other organizations as well as auditing internal grants and programs.
This position monitors all subrecipient providers to ensure appropriate policies and practices are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
The position will conduct regular audits of external and internal programming.
The position also ensures subrecipient agreements are issued, invoices are reviewed, and reports/documents/data are submitted to appropriate parties in a timely manner as well as document file organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Develops and issues all subrecipient agreements on behalf of EDEN.
Ensures activities are compliant with the funding source Reviews invoices in a timely manner; confirms all activities and costs are eligible and included within the grant agreement Reviews all sub-recipient agreements and ensures all are completed and current Creates draft correspondence; communicates effectively with partners Monitors all subrecipients for performance and compliance with funding rules Works with Programs, Finance and Operations to ensure consistent communication with subrecipients.
Ensures that clients served by case management subrecipient organizations are consistent between EDEN and subrecipient; confirms data in Tenmast and HMIS Recommends grant changes with regard to subrecipient alignment and needs Issues MOUs on behalf of EDEN Annual SRA agreements for project-based subsidies MOUs related to grants and grant performance (typically linked with support information for match).
Education and ExperienceA High School Diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years related work experience in federal funds, compliance, or related area is required.
Experience working with HUD, affordable housing, finance, or social service programs is preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
