Maintenance Manager, Crane Repair

Job DescriptionCleveland-Cliffs-Cleveland Works has an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Manager, Crane Repair at our Cleveland, OH plant within our MEU (Maintenance, Engineering, & Utilities) Department.
The Maintenance Manager provides first-line supervision and direction to a crew of skilled-trades workers through the successful completion of assigned maintenance duties on equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
Key accountability would include maintaining Company standards regarding safety, quality, and final specifications for departmental manufacturing processes.
Summary of
Responsibilities:
Ensure that maintenance crews are performing job duties in accordance with all Cleveland-Cliffs safety requirements.
Ensure that safety training for all direct reports is completed and recorded in a timely manner.
Responsible for the daily maintenance activities of the crane repair group; including work identification, planning, scheduling, execution, and effectively communicating with other team members.
Act as a coach to hourly employees and ensure that they have the tools and knowledge required to safely perform their job.
Collaborate with various department team members, both hourly and salaried, in an effort to deliver excellent maintenance support to plant operations.
Work as a cross functional manager for select areas of the MEU/Plant Services Division.
Minimum
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from an accredited school At least 2 years' experience in industrial industry or the military Strong maintenance aptitude, strong leadership, and team skills Computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and exposure to databases Demonstrate a willingness to learn other site-specific computer applications Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering 5 years' experience in heavy industrial industry or the military in a maintenance.
Engineering or operations position 2 years' supervisory experience in heavy industrial industry or the military 2 years' experience in overhead crane maintenance Steel mill experience or working in a bargaining union environment Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
