Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our finance team as an Accounting Clerk.
The successful candidate will provide essential support in various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions.
The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for tasks such as data entry, reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports.
Responsibilities:
Data Entry and Record Keeping:
Accurately enter financial data into the accounting system, including invoices, receipts, and journal entries.
Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process accounts payable transactions, verifying invoices, and ensuring timely payments.
Assist in accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and tracking customer payments.
Bank Reconciliations:
Reconcile bank statements and identify and resolve discrepancies.
Maintain a clear understanding of all financial transactions.
Assist in Financial Reporting:
Support the preparation of financial reports by providing accurate and timely data.
Generate routine financial reports as needed.
Expense Tracking:
Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Assist in preparing expense reports and reimbursement requests.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to resolve any financial discrepancies.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
Proven experience (X years) in a similar accounting or finance support role.
Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices.
Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
