Manages executive calendars, coordinates and schedules meetings and briefings, secures alternate representative by another official when appropriate, and secures meeting location.
Attends meetings as appropriate.
Creates executive correspondence; reviews all documents for correct format, grammar and spelling.
Handles day to day administrative responsibilities for the Associate Director and staff, such as directing phone calls, receive and greet visitors, sorting and distributing incoming mail, and maintaining electronic and hardcopy files and records.
Assists with reviewing and drafting correspondence, recommendations, reports, and memoranda related to management and administrative concerns in compliance with policies and procedures.
Evaluates and improves Center operations for organization with varying functions performed in subordinate offices.
Oversees subordinate secretarial and clerical staff, ensuring administrative and clerical services required are provided.
Creates and/or maintains the organizational distribution lists for the Center.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
