Safe work environment On-the-job training Relaxed atmosphere Growth opportunities The Production Worker is responsible for processing and packing fruits and vegetables into retail and food service pickles products.
Each employee rotates through several workstations requiring the ability to perform various tasks at each station.
Duties &
Responsibilities:
Tasks also include but are not limited to preparing fruits and vegetables for brining and packing finished product into retail and food service containers.
To work and maintain appropriate performance and quality standards at all positions or workstations.
To take proper precautions and use all equipment and tools safely.
To notify your Line Lead or Supervisor of safety, mechanical, or quality problems immediately.
Set up equipment at the beginning and during the shift.
Bring supplies to the area and ensure correct supplies are used.
Consistent clean-up throughout shift and performing general housekeeping to provide a clean and safe work environment.
Work well in a team-oriented atmosphere.
Other job duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to interpret and retain instructions to perform a variety of tasks whether in written or oral form Ability to understand safety requirements and cautions Ability to effectively communicate with people from various backgrounds Excellent hygiene practices Be able to work overtime as required Attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, kneel, crouch.
The employee frequently is required to walk or stand for long periods of time.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 lbs.
While performing the duties of this job, employee is required to use PPE such as hairnet, smock, slip resistant shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses and gloves.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions.
The employee is often exposed to wet conditions, humid conditions and slippery floor.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high and requires hearing protection.
