Project Engineer Contract - SOW - Long term with benefits including PTO and 401K! Cleveland, OH -onsite $40-$45/hrKelly Engineering is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Engineer to join our client in Cleveland, OH. This is a long-term contract role with full benefits including PTO and 401K. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the engineering development of our products, from inception to implementation. Your expertise will be essential in providing technical support, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring the successful execution of projects. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the commercial team to identify opportunities and provide technical support during sales calls. Work closely with customers to develop products and finalize specifications for their applications. Coordinate all project-related activities internally, including requirements management, design, fabrication, and procurement. Generate and approve designs using Pro-Engineer and AutoCAD, and conduct mechanical and structural calculations. Specify materials, heat treatment, machining, and fabrication methods. Manage electrical systems and machine controls, including outsourcing electrical panel work as required. Assist with cost estimates for quoting and manage project costs post-award. Coordinate customer buy-off onsite prior to shipping and provide installation and startup support as needed. Participate in technical presentations to educate and train customers. Develop test protocols and support product testing as required. Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and change management post-project award. Ensure compliance with Quality Management System requirements and deliverables. Support the overall technical growth of the company by contributing to specific projects and providing internal training as needed. Essential Skills and
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. 5
years of experience in project engineering with direct customer interaction. Proficiency in electrical systems and machine controls. Strong drafting and 3D CAD background, particularly with Pro-Engineer and AutoCAD. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design principles.
