The Project & Compliance Engineer is responsible for ensuring quality compliance and testing for our products, collaborating closely with manufacturers and independent test labs to guarantee adherence to regulatory standards. Additionally, this role actively supports product development within our engineering services and assists marketing and sales teams with their technical requirements, contributing to the overall success and integrity of our offerings.This position requires some occasional travel. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Meticulously draft detailed specifications for threaded fasteners and similar products, ensuring precision in design and functionality. Maintain and update product drawings, facilitating efficient communication with manufacturing locations and customers. Ensure product compliance for the branded products, including adherence to industry standards and regulations. Coordinate the submission of product samples to independent testing labs, overseeing product performance testing to maintain quality standards. Provide valuable technical support to the marketing department, actively contributing to the creation of sales and marketing materials. Collaborate with various outside product evaluation services, including FM and ICC-ES, to facilitate product assessments. Participate in employee and customer training programs, sharing expertise to enhance product knowledge and usage. Support product development efforts by utilizing various fastener installation tools and testing equipment. Maintain open and effective communication with the SFS engineering department, ensuring alignment with engineering objectives and standards.
