Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician 2 for University Hospital Health Systems in Cleveland, OH. Ideal candidate MUST have ultrasound experience.


BMET II Position Description:


The main role/responsibilities of the position will be to ensure all related biomedical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner. The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service and communications skill as well as strong technical skills and a commitment to deliver excellent repair service in an expedient manner.


The BMET II for this role will possess:


  • Ultrasound experience; preferably Bard, GE, and Philips
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical devices independently
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices
  • Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills
  • Scheduling flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation schedule

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Associates Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment


Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting
