Sales/Applications Engineer Nook Industries is the leading private USA (NE

) manufacturer of ball screws and linear motion/control solutions. Since 1969 Nook has developed and marketed precision/standard catalog products, customized solutions and ready-to-install actuator/automation systems for discrete and process automation applications. Our sales team members are usually graduate mechanical engineers, but as we grow into more motion control/automation/'mechatronic' applications, we are also open to BSEE candidates. Sales Engineer is a high visibility role at Nook and you will report directly to our VP Sales. Our ideal candidate has an engineer/entrepreneur profile and thrives on making applications and building our business through engineer-to-engineer collaboration. You will develop specifications, define and penetrate new markets, develop strong relationships with OEM accounts and Nook distributors, launch new products, and generally do what it takes to assist our customers as they make their products better by incorporating Nook products. Specifically, you will succeed by: competently training our customers, and our distributors, and sometimes THEIR customers; making competent sales presentations to engineering and management levels within our target markets; work across various Nook departments to advance product development; build lasting business relationships with technical decision makers at all levels - creating Nook disciples whenever possible; stay current with industry trends and technology advances; invest full personal efforts to drive demand and to advance our market
position
. You will meet and exceed sales revenue goals as a result of these consultative selling activities and you will earn incentive compensation as you succeed. YOU have progressed selling/applying industrial technical products; YOU have a passion for motion control technology; YOUR oral and written communication skills are a key strength; YOU are proficient with MS Word, Excel, email, web browsing, social media, CRM and other tools of the trade.
