Job Duties/Responsibilites include:- Data entry of billing information - Review of medical records to prepare initial billing - Ssubmission of timely and accurate billing - Secures and provides billing and account information to patients and insurance companies - Resolves insurance claim rejections/denials and remedies expediently - Generates and submits reports to administration as needed. Qualifications/Skills required include: - Minimum of one year experience in a medical setting, prefer experience with clinical financial
systems
- Proficient use of computers including Microsoft Office with ability to learn agency
computer
system - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines - Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance billing
practices
- Able to work without supervision, but knows when to consult with supervisory personnel for assistance as needed - Ensures work is done accurately, timely, and in compliance with federal, state, and payer specific regulations - Excellent phone and customer service skills - High level of professionalism with positive morale Education:- Associate degree in business or
accounting
preferred or graduate of accredited medical
assistant
