Define the short and long range business plans for the product line consistent with market needs and corporate strategic plans. Define the product strategy and roadmap for process safety product line. Responsible for product promotion and product introductions, including sales and support staff training. Responsible for product promotion plans, including trade shows, product literature plan, product training plan and product distribution plan to achieve business objectives. Responsible for coordination with Sales, Commercial Marketing, Technical Support, Training Center and other groups as appropriate to implement the plans. Gather customer/market requirements for product enhancements across all global regions. Use this information to create customer centric market requirements to the engineering and test teams for product development. Determine product pricing and recommended pricing policies based on established gross margin objectives and prepare plans for margin improvement where necessary. Gather cost data from Engineering and Operations to justify product viability and monitor the cost data during the product life cycle to insure cost reduction and gross margin objectives. Conduct competitive analysis and formulate competitive counter strategies for all new products and existing products. Prepare a quarterly competitive review for each product along with an annual report that is used as a basis for the Strategic Plan. Attend technical symposiums and exhibits on industrial control systems to maintain knowledge on available and competitive technology and to present papers and seminars as appropriate to promote Rockwell Automation products. Provide commercial support for post-sale product issues, including those involving quality, delivery or pricing. Responsible for product life cycle management, including initiation of product improvements, enhancements, approval of change notices and product obsolescence consistent with business objectives. Provide leadership in decision-making and problem-solving to ensure successful product line business performance. Responsible for providing a 5
year market focus of financially and/or strategically critical product line(s). Report deviation from approved plans at least quarterly and recommend corrective action. Work with Business Managers and other product marketing staff to achieve coordination among business units. Responsible for obtaining agreement with Engineering and Operations on product implementation plans, for measuring progress against plans, and for acting as product program manager to measure and direct compliance with the plans. Responsible for coordination of the activities with strategic business partners and standards organizations in order to achieve strategic objectives. Determine the total market (domestic and international) and available market for the product line and prepare product demand forecasts. Responsible for meeting market share and product line profitability commitments to the business. Establish, execute and report on product line growth initiatives. Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and others) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures. Travel required: 35% of time for customer visits, trade shows and other company locations both domestically and internationally.
Required: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and two (2) years of experience as a Product Specialist or Engineer-Industrial Automation. As part of the experience being required, applicants must have had: experience in the design and development of industrial automation products in accordance with IEC 61508/IEC 61511; experience in the development product promotional items, including trade show materials, product literature, product training materials and product distribution plans for process safety products and solutions; experience in the preparation of marketing development requests (MDR) for process safety products; experience in product life cycle management for process safety products; multinational work experience in product management or project management experience within an industrial automation manufacturing environment; and experience in customer facing, pre-sale and post-sale support, and business operation functions within an industrial automation manufacturing environment.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
