A rapidly expanding manufacturer of composite components used in the aerospace industry is seeking a Quality Engineer for their team. This opportunity offers a friendly, clean, air conditioned work environment.
This role requires a friendly but assertive individual who will be committed to maintaining the highest level of quality and reliability of all parts and services produced by the company.
Position responsibilities include:
Ensure that all materials, final parts, packaging, and documentation meet or exceed customer requirements Establish and/or maintain strict protocols for testing product dimensions as well as mechanical, electrical, chemical characteristics Inspection and testing of tools, molds, and parts at various stages throughout the production process Evaluation of test data against existing quality/reliability standards Oversee company inspectors to ensure that standardized protocols are followed and that all test data is appropriately documented/reported Ensure that products meet or exceed any/all federal, state, or local safety of quality standards Provide management with feedback on improving quality, recommendations for scrap/cost reduction, etc. Perform internal audits and updating of procedures/quality associate training as necessary On-going customer contact to ensure satisfaction, handling complaints as needed
Position requirements include:
Undergraduate degree or significant on the job equivalent experience Friendly, out-going personality with the ability to professionally interact with customers and motivate company quality control/inspection associates Strong skills in the use of statistics to evaluate test results Superior written and verbal communication skills Understanding of Total Quality Management (TQM) practices and techniques Ability to introduce and/or maintain ISO, AS, NADCAP quality procedures
