Murray Hill Market, located in the heart of University Circle's Historic Little Italy, seeks a General Manager. Our charming corner store offers fresh produce & grocery items, prepared foods, unique wines and craft beers, imported specialty & gift items. Additionally, our catering and food service divisions are integral to our company.
The General Manager serving in a Full time salaried-exempt capacity will be responsible for establishing and maintaining exceptional customer service and engagement to our loyal and diverse clientele while overseeing the operation of the Market.
While supervising team members and delegating responsibilities, the General Manager will be responsible for on-floor management and overseeing all operations including:
Management of expenses such as monitoring effective scheduling to reduce or streamline payroll, taking complete charge of onboarding, training, developing, and evaluating employees; ensuring appropriate merchandise and supply stock levels by establishing pars and analysing inventory turnover velocities, and tracking costs and availability so as to coordinate vendor selection and purchasing; signage, and assortment, scheduling of team members, and cooperative ordering and purchasing.
Additionally, the General Manager will ensure compliance with and help with the development of Market policies, procedures, and cleanliness standards through store walkthroughs and audits and meetings with team members to include training and cross training as needed.
