Downtown Cleveland law firm is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Legal Secretary with a concentration of experience in patent prosecution.
Primary responsibilities include:
Provide confidential administrative support to IP attorneys and work collaboratively with entire IP team.
Prepare documents and correspondence requiring knowledge of IP legal terminology and document formats, such as patent prosecution documents.
Review and accurately proofread documents from the USPTO and foreign patent offices and report these documents.
Maintain electronic calendar for assignments, arrange appointments and meetings.
Receive, record and process documents from the U.S. Copyright Office and the U.S. and various foreign patent and trademark offices regarding the filing, prosecution, appeal, issuance and registration of patents, trademarks and copyrights.
Coordinate, monitor and review various aspects of documents prepared by legal counsel regarding the preparation, filing, prosecution, issuance and maintenance of patents, trademarks and copyrights in the U.S. and foreign countries, including ensuring the timely filing of documents and required responses.
Review mail and assist with preparing responses
Candidates wishing to be considered must have a minimum of 5
years of current IP experience, with a concentration in trademark and patent prosecution. Additionally, a proficient knowledge in Word, Excel and Outlook along with an ability to learn Elite, CPA Inprotech, Imanage/Worksite, Adobe, Innovate and PCT-Safe is required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
