Exciting high growth opportunity in a fast growing profitable venture capital backed LED lamp and systems OEM with technology driven products to lead all channel, product and corporate marketing functions. Responsible for channel, product, and corporate marketing platform within the organization's communication goals and management direction of the brand.
Director of Marketing - Location can be Cleveland Ohio or Manhattan, NY
Candidate aligns with sales, engineering and product development, operations, finance, and other functional units across the organization in the development and execution of a clearly defined marketing and communications strategy that supports consistent growth, increasing market share, brand recognition, and the overall mission and vision of the organization.
2015 Key Goals:
Create, present and implement a marketing plan that includes a recommendation for staffing for success.
Create, design, modify, and improve marketing collateral and literature.
Lead, direct and/or manage marketing campaigns.
Development of an online business plan and implement.
Conduct Market intelligence and research and create a standard process through which information is shared with the executive leadership team.
Develop and lead a standardized process to capture Voice of Customer.


Essential Functions:

Provide overall marketing and product strategy, innovation and concept to achieve best in class products that differentiate client company from its competitors.
Create, manage, coordinate, and execute all marketing strategies and implement tactical plans and programs that meet and exceed company goals and objectives.
Define, manage and develop a marketing organization that includes people, resources and processes.
Develop and manage metrics, key productivity indicators and success criteria for all marketing programs, activities and team members.
Manage outside marketing resources from identification, engagement and projects through the lifecycle.
Develop, manage and maintain the company's annual marketing budget.
Collaborate in the development of new and modified products from strategy and concept to development, market introduction and product launch.

Contribute to the management leadership team in their creation and implementation of short and long term strategies. Lead and engage in marketing strategic planning including competitive analysis, market segmentation, product positioning within target markets (needs, gaps, revenue streams).
Participate in Voice of Customer initiatives and activities.
Lead the company's mission regarding branding, public relations, advertising, white papers, and others.
Provide direction and guidance regarding trade show selection and other marketing and company related events on the basis of revenue and relationship development.
Direct the design of collateral materials and the company's internet website.
Prepare Board and customer ready presentations as needed.
Develop unique value propositions, business partnerships, category management, as well as call to action oriented advertising targeted toward key customer segments to increase brand awareness.
Coach, mentor and capitalize on the Marketing team's ability to deliver and exceed expectations and create opportunities for succession talent.

Qualifications:

10 years Marketing leadership or senior Marketing expertise and a history of progressively increasing Marketing responsibilities and accomplishments.
Experience in lighting, power and/or utility highly beneficial. Construction, retail and commercial lighting and utility business industry experience preferred.
High technical proficiency.
Strong analytical, planning, forecasting, and budgeting/financial skills.
Proven ability to create, compose and edit written materials that are presentation-ready, aesthetically pleasing and highly effective.
EDUCATION and
Experience:
4-year degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Development, or closely related discipline is required. Master's degree in related discipline is preferred.
We are seeking an individual with minimum of five years of channel/product marketing management experience with an utility or LED fixture/ lamp organization that focuses on a fragmented channel based market. Company provides competitive base plus bonus and relocation assistance.Please read the qualifications for this position carefully. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
