Stevedore
Gillmann Services Inc. is looking for a Stevedore who can start immediately. Candidate must have a clean background. Candidates with a current TWIC card will be considered first. Please apply with a detailed resume.
Responsibilities:
Carries or moves cargo by handtruck to wharf and stacks cargo on pallets to facilitate transfer to and from ship.
Stacks cargo in transit shed or in hold of ship as directed.
Attaches and moves slings used to lift cargo.
Guides load being lifted to prevent swinging.
Shores cargo in ship's hold to prevent shifting during voyage.
Evaluate sources of information in order to determine any limitations in terms of reliability or usability.
Evaluate the statistical methods and procedures used to obtain data in order to ensure validity, applicability, efficiency, and accuracy.
Examine theories, such as those of probability and inference in order to discover mathematical bases for new or improved methods of obtaining and evaluating numerical data.
Identify relationships and trends in data, as well as any factors that could affect the results of research.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
