Senior Tax Analyst

This multi-billion dollar global industry leader is in need of a Senior Tax Analyst.
The Senior Tax Analyst will have the following
Responsibilities:

Apply analytics, SAP skills, and Onesource return software to administer the monthly, quarterly, and annual operational tax and business filings including: Consolidated CAT, Excise Tax, Sales & Use Tax (including Ohio Direct Pay), Property Tax, Real Estate Tax, Business Licenses, and Annual Reports for 13 US entities. (35%)
Monitor and manage abatements, credits, and incentives associated with operational tax and business filings. (5%)
Be lead defense professional for operational tax audits, appeals, and litigation; primarily consisting of Ohio Sales & Use (utilizing statistical approach), Other State Sales Tax, and Personal Property. Document and incorporate audit resolutions into the ongoing filing process. (10%)
Establish expertise for determining H account use taxability and oversee accountability for Ohio Use Tax. Develop detailed understanding of function and use of all equipment (purchased and self-developed) at the Euclid, Mentor, and Mason operations. (10%)
Track new business locations and abandoned locations to determine nexus requirements in order to properly and timely comply with operational and business tax filing requirements. (5%)
Oversee various research and tax minimization projects such as Cost Seg, Statistical Sampling, reverse audit refund claims, etc. (10%)
Manage operational tax aspects of the Company's B-to-C web-enabled internet sales platform and Direct School Sales program. Act as the primary tax liason to the customer service, marketing, and IT departments, as well as any outside consultants or service providers they retain and directly with customers as required. (10%, after implementation)
Manage the tax aspects of the exemption certificate collection, retention and evaluation process. Act as the primary tax liaison to IT, customer service and the outside service provider of the on-line certificate management software. Work with IT to manage the software's interface with both SAP and Taxware. (10%)
Manage the tax aspects of the Taxware software bolt-on to SAP. Work closely to collaborate with the IT and customer service departments to identify and address software issues and resolve problems. (5%)


Qualifications:

Bachelor degree with a major in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operational taxes and tax audit defense
CPA, advanced degree and/or JD strongly preferred
Fluency in various software and automated systems used for operational tax compliance, audit defense, and research
Experience with SAP strongly preferred
Strong time management skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision, multi-task in a dynamic atmosphere and self-manage projectsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
