National Account Manager

A major 75 year old NYSE broad-line distributor of metalworking and maintenance, repair operation solutions and services throughout the United States is seeking to hire a National Account Manager to develop and maintain key account sales and long-term contract relationships within a geographic assigned area. This Company has over 6,500 sales associates and over 100 branch sales and distribution centers throughout the USA. Sales are in excess of $2.5 billion annually.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages and maintains assigned headquarter (HQ) corporate relationships and contract renewals within assigned geographic territory
Drives sales in conjunction with local branch associates
Cultivates, maintains and grows relationships increasing business and ensuring excellent client relations
Prepares and delivers sales presentations addressing the clients' needs
Gathers, organizes and analyzes information of all national accounts within the assigned geography creating a business plan of growth for each HQ account
Represents national accounts in cross functional initiatives, industry functions and trade shows
Establishes and maintains a working relationship with key Company Marketing, Legal, Product and Finance department associates keeping them abreast of current products/services/strategic initiatives
Works with market managers, branch managers and field sales associates to develop strategies for specific account penetration and to drive customer corporate message to local facilities
Submits to management all required sales and expense reports in a timely manner
Sells company's basic value basket and services to clients including e-procurement integrations
Responds to existing customer requests for information and proposal and negotiates pricing and other terms of national account agreements to ensure maximum revenue and profit from renegotiating existing agreements to include terms and conditions that will minimize the Company's risk
Ensures meeting budgetary cost center constraints and takes corrective action when needed
Represents national accounts in branch and market level field sales management meetings to convey national account direction and strategy
Tailors national account strategy to align with corporate sales and marketing strategy
Learns and fosters the Company Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of Company's mission
Educates/promotes selling techniques and guidelines for national accounts to outside sales and branch sales managers to increase program awareness and sales
Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in business or the equivalent
Minimum of four years industrial/manufacturing/distributing sales experience and direct account responsibility-National Account HQ experience is preferred
National Account sales and/or large account penetration, negotiation and maintenance techniques
Excellent sales, negotiation and team building skills and techniques
Computer literacy and proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software
Knowledge of e-business as it relates to National Accounts
Excellent oral and written communication skills
A valid driver's license and the ability to travelEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
