Heat Treat Operator

Founded in 1943, we provide a variety of heat-treating services to the aircraft, agriculture, automotive, earth-moving equipment, high performance racing, military and tooling industries.

Job Criteria

1).
Communication Skills:

  • Written

  • Must be able to communicate in English to customers, vendors and other employees.
  • Must be able to communicate in English both over the telephone and in person with customers seeking answers concerning the status of their product.
  • Must always deal with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.

2).
Work Hours

  • Must be dependable -
  • Shows up for and ready to work at assigned starting times, work entire shift and or until relieved.
  • Must be willing to work any shift.
  • Cannot leave the work area until relieved by next shift.
  • 10-6 starting off for training then open to any

3).
Overtime

  • Must be willing to work overtime as required.

4).
OJT (On The Job Training)

  • Must be able to learn all aspects of our facility.
  • Processing incoming orders:
  • Handle all material with extreme care - many are finished products.
  • Process incoming purchase orders.
  • Fill out our Processing Routers from purchase orders.
  • Stage material in the correct location and prep for processing.
  • Build furnace loads in an efficient and productive manner.
  • Product/Material Handling During Processing
  • Set, control and monitor instrumentation for heat treating furnaces.
  • Initiate and remove atmosphere(s) as required from equipment (N & NH3)
  • Understand, follow and fill out sections of processing Router.
  • Load and unload customer material into containers for tempering.
  • Load and unload tempering furnaces up to 1275 F.
  • Learn tempering temperatures for various types of materials to achieve desired effects.
  • Learn to drive and maintain forklift safely.
  • Learn Sand/Shot Peen Blasting.
  • Product Inspection:
  • Standard Rockwell Hardness Testing
  • Superficial Rockwell Hardness Testing
  • Brinell Hardness Testing
  • File Testing
  • Shipping/Receiving
  • Must be able to learn to package and ship parts via customer pick-ups/our trucking/common carrier or UPS etc.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
