Heat Treat Operator
Founded in 1943, we provide a variety of heat-treating services to the aircraft, agriculture, automotive, earth-moving equipment, high performance racing, military and tooling industries.

Job Criteria
1).
Communication Skills:
- Written
- Oral
- Must be able to communicate in English to customers, vendors and other employees.
- Must be able to communicate in English both over the telephone and in person with customers seeking answers concerning the status of their product.
- Must always deal with customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
2).
Work Hours
- Must be dependable -
- Shows up for and ready to work at assigned starting times, work entire shift and or until relieved.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Cannot leave the work area until relieved by next shift.
- 10-6 starting off for training then open to any
3).
Overtime
- Must be willing to work overtime as required.
4).
OJT (On The Job Training)
- Must be able to learn all aspects of our facility.
- Processing incoming orders:
- Handle all material with extreme care - many are finished products.
- Process incoming purchase orders.
- Fill out our Processing Routers from purchase orders.
- Stage material in the correct location and prep for processing.
- Build furnace loads in an efficient and productive manner.
- Product/Material Handling During Processing
- Set, control and monitor instrumentation for heat treating furnaces.
- Initiate and remove atmosphere(s) as required from equipment (N & NH3)
- Understand, follow and fill out sections of processing Router.
- Load and unload customer material into containers for tempering.
- Load and unload tempering furnaces up to 1275 F.
- Learn tempering temperatures for various types of materials to achieve desired effects.
- Learn to drive and maintain forklift safely.
- Learn Sand/Shot Peen Blasting.
- Product Inspection:
- Standard Rockwell Hardness Testing
- Superficial Rockwell Hardness Testing
- Brinell Hardness Testing
- File Testing
- Shipping/Receiving
- Must be able to learn to package and ship parts via customer pick-ups/our trucking/common carrier or UPS etc.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
