BBG Management Corporation has an opportunity for a Network Operations Center Engineer I in Cleveland, OH.
The ideal candidate will obtain a position with a company that has come up with an innovative technology that helps businesses run more efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing all networks/connections to ensure optimal functionality
- Responding to inquiries and issues in a timely manner, troubleshooting problems effectively
- Assisting clients and vendors as needed
- Installing various networking components/equipment
- Documenting any problems, changes, or customer requests as required in order to ensure resolution
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience in an on-call tech support environment
- At least 2 years of experience using NMSs such as Netcool
- At least 1 year of experience with L2/L3 resource provisioning
- Knowledge of hardware installation methods
- Ability to troubleshoot issues related to systems, L2 protocols and signal transportation (eg: optical multiplexing technologies)
- Familiarity with networking security and firewalls
- Ability to work different shifts as required
- Juniper Networks Certified Associate or Cisco Certified Network Associate
- Experience with UNIX, DNS, virtual private networks, and/or FTTx is an asset
- University/college degree is an asset (ideally in CS or Eng)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
