GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB.
To invest in the lives of teens and younger adults, developing and maintaining relational ministry opportunities
To conduct an ongoing and aggressive evangelical ministry with the specific purpose of introducing children, teens and young adults to Jesus Christ
To provide an environment and ministry opportunities in which children, teens and younger adults can grow and mature in their faith and grow into a walk of holiness
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
Develop and maintain practical approaches to building solid Christian living among the children, teens and younger adults under your influenceDevelop and maintain programs and ministries to enhance the healthy spiritual, physical and emotional development of those under your influence.Disseminate information regarding community resources available to children, teens, younger adults and their guardians.Develop and maintain an intensive relational ministryDevelop and maintain an organized, systematic and purposeful home visitation ministry for teens and younger adults.Conduct weekly teen worship timesIdentify community needs and design relevant ministry programs around those needs. Plan, prepare, organize, coordinate, recruit volunteers, and lead VBSBe prepared to participate in Sunday Worship, teach/coordinate Sunday School, and assist in pickups as assigned by corps officerTeach a Sunday School class/Conduct Sunday School openingsDevelop and maintain a new or traditional ministries to facilitate the enhancement of the healthy spiritual formation and discipleship of children, teens and younger adults (e.g. Bible studies and Corps Cadets)Develop and maintain contacts with the young adults and teens at local college and high school campuses, where such contact is permittedRecruit a local prayer ministry teamDevelop and maintain an active recruitment and training program for youth ministry volunteers within the local corps settingDevelop and implement an evangelism training program for teens and younger adultsDevelop and maintain a mentoring program within the corps for teens and younger adultsAttend all youth worker in-service training sessions conducted by The Salvation Army Youth DepartmentConduct organized intentional efforts to bring Learning Center, Day Care Center, and Community Center participants where applicable to the worship community of the corps.Provide leadership for corps delegations at divisional (Northeast Ohio) and territorial (Eastern seaboard) events as assigned by the corps officer including assisting in the promotion, registration, transportation, and attendance of these events
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE.
Commitment to evangelical outreach.
Commitment to participation in training programs and learning Biblical, theological and ministry applications
A degree in Youth Ministry, or related field, Graduate of Railton School and/or equivalent experience
Must possess a valid, current driver's license.
Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by the State of Ohio Department of Job & Family Services.
SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS.
It should be noted that the above duties are the essential functions of the position, but other duties necessary to the overall enhancement of Salvation Army service and program may be required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
