Job DescriptionThe Water Business Line of Arcadis is seeking a passionate Jr. Water Engineer, to join our world class firm in our Columbus and Cleveland, OH offices.
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and independent professional to join our team locally with support from one of the best qualified consulting firms in the country. The Engineer will utilize their professional experience and technical knowledge of water distribution, wastewater collection and/or stormwater systems modeling to assist the project teams they support in executing projects and developing project pursuits within the local and regional municipal market of this office as well as to help build and grow our practice. This is an excellent opportunity with great potential for growth!
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform engineering activities for water distribution, wastewater collection system and stormwater modeling, evaluations, investigations, planning, feasibility studies, design and construction.
Exercise independent judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
Work on a variety of other water and wastewater infrastructure, including water and wastewater treatment and water / wastewater facilities evaluations, utilities assessments and design.
Develop and review technical reports and cost estimates for projects.
Assist others with defining scope of work and objectives through research and fact-finding, combined with a strong understanding of business line and industry requirements.
Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis' practices and quality and safety standards.
Facilitates coordination for timely completion and submission of project deliverables.
Maintain and increase professional and technical knowledge by having regular participation with industry Association's attending workshops, making presentations and reviewing professional publications.
Provide technical input on existing water / wastewater modeling and planning projects.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors' degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related Engineering field of study
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written public speaking/presenting, effective communication with team members, clients and other stakeholders
Hydraulic modeling & engineering experience for evaluations, investigations, planning, feasibility studies and modeling SWMM & GIS preferred , of water distribution, wastewater collection and stormwater systems.
Exceptional Microsoft Office skills
EIT or ability to obtain within one year
Interest in participating in regional and/or national professional associations

MS or PhD in Civil Engineering
Engineer in Training Certification (EIT)
Previous internship experience
Familiarity with GIS, and EPANET water distribution modeling software

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
