A/P & Payroll Specialist

We are assisting our growing client with their search for an A/P and Payroll Specialist.
Responsibilities
Ensure the accurate and timely payroll processing using third party payroll service for approximately 30 employees, which includes both salaried and hourly professionals.
Ensure accurate withholding and submission of payroll taxes and other benefits deductions.
Meets all government reporting requirements, regulation and compliance for payroll taxes, withholding and employer contributions.
Assist employees in resolving payroll inquiries in a timely manner, providing outstanding customer service.
Coordinate third party payroll system upgrades and implementations.
Lead preparation and processing of annual W-2 and 1099's.
Familiar with incorporating income and tax impact of equity transactions within payroll.
Enter and review AP invoices and expense reports for proper coding and approvals. Process weekly check requests, match with purchase order or support documentation.
Perform monthly payroll/AP account reconciliations and book adjusting entries.
Serve as HR subject matter expert on all new-hire, benefit and payroll paperwork and compliance for personnel files.
Education and Experience
Knowledge of accounts payable, payroll and general HR compliance
Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures
Proficient in relevant computer applications including Microsoft Office (Excel)
At least 3 year accounts payable and payroll experience
Associates degree in accounting preferred
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and ability to problem solve
Organizational and multi-tasking skills
Team player with a positive attitude
Interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
