Budget Analyst
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped you with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.To Qualify for the GS-13:
Specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-12), includes experience such as:
-Experience serving as a Subject Matter Expert in the monitoring, analyzing, and reporting budget formulation and execution activities for enterprise level, complex programs with multi-million dollar annual value by reviewing and assessing historical financial data and trends. -Experience developing budget estimates, monitoring actual expenses, making recommendations, and implementing corrective actions to resolve budgetary discrepancies using integrated enterprise resources management systems and tools.To Qualify for the GS-14:
Specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-13), includes experience such as:
-Diverse experience serving as a Subject Matter Expert in the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of budget formulation and execution activities for enterprise level, complex programs with multi-million dollar annual value by reviewing and assessing historical financial data and trends-Diverse experience serving as a Subject Matter Expert developing budget estimates, monitoring actual expenses, making recommendations, and implementing corrective actions to resolve budgetary discrepancies using integrated enterprise resources management systems and tools.-Experience developing and interpreting budgetary and financial guidance and being recognized as a technical authority.Your resume must include a clear and detailed narrative description, in your own words, of how you meet the required specialized experience.
