Logistics Management Specialist

The Logistics Management Specialist serves as supply chain management (SCM) team member, responsible for the direction and control of logistics planning that include multiple activities and geographically separated areas. The primary purpose of this position is to direct, develop and implement policy programs and procedures for accurate supply chain management planning and administration. Major duties and responsibilities include:
Collaborating with leadership in developing supply chain management strategies; Serving as an integrator and/or facilitator for supply chain management customers; Ensuring all SCM personnel and equipment for the Emergency Medical Response Team (EMRT) are prepared accordingly; Identifying and preparing all assigned personnel and equipment for deployment during simulated and actual emergency response exercises(i.e. training, planning and controlling movement); Developing logistics and supply chain management training opportunities; Analyzing the effectiveness of logistics and vendor support services; Recommending changes to procurement actions such as quantity increases, cancellations, cutbacks, delivery rates and ordering periods; Resolving logistics, supply, distribution, information and service problems; Identifying changes to governing regulations and conflicting directives; Monitoring computer programs, software and hardware to determine efficiency in meeting supply requirements; Providing technical assistance in the areas of logistics planning, integration support and requirements; Providing administrative and technical oversight to lower-graded specialist; Performing other related duties as assigned. Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-11 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Specialized experience includes:
Serving as a team lead or senior specialist in supply chain management. Assisting with the direction and control of logistics planning. Analyze product delivery or supply chain processes to identify or recommend changes. Performing data analysis, and statistical analysis to identify improvement opportunities. This position requires some degree of specialized knowledge and experience of logistics support activities in areas of acquisition management, purchasing, transportation, distribution, inventory management and control, expendable and non-expendable equipment, and warehouse operations. Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
The work is primarily sedentary although some slight physical effort may be required. Work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate controlled office.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
