Performing secretarial duties, such as screening calls and visitors, scheduling appointments and meetings, making referrals and communicating information appropriately. Answering questions regarding internal processes, scheduling, staffing, payroll, recruitment, Professional Standards Boards (PSB), proficiencies, and reports. Serving as service timekeeper for three to eight Time and Leave (T&L) units by posting time and attendance daily. Ensuring appropriate leave requests are entered for sick, annual and military leave and overtime and compensable time. Meeting with the chief regularly to review weekly calendar, suspense actions and outstanding issues. Creating and managing suspense files to address disciplinary and union actions with strict time lines. Preparing documents for meetings such as Power Points presentations, graphs, spreadsheets, and meeting agendas. Processing incoming and outgoing material such as mail, reports, counseling notices, work orders, travel requests, Standard Form 52s, proficiencies, leave and clearance forms. Work Schedule:

Time-In-Grade Requirement:
Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. Note:

Experience:
You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-5 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
using a computer or word processor to create, edit, print, retrieve, or manipulate files, making or receiving telephone calls, reviewing content of letters or other documents for completeness, correctness or consistency, maintaining and processing payroll, including time sheets and attendance records, maintaining own or others' calendar or schedules, responding orally to inquiries or requests for information, responding to requests or complaints, and processing incoming forms, records, or other documents. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position:

Physical Requirements:
Some work is accomplished at a desk in office surroundings, but must have the ability to climb stairs and carry small packages up to 20 lbs. Walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items like papers or books are frequent. Frequent trips are made throughout the Medical Center to the various wards/clinics and administrative offices to interact with supervisors, nurse managers, etc.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
