You will serve as a Program Assistant (OA) located in the United States Coast Guard's Shore Infrastructure Logistic Center's (SILC), Civil Engineering Unit (CEU), supporting approximately 50 management, professional engineers, architects and technical engineering personnel within CEU. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
Processing and maintenance of records and documents within the Network File Management System (ADEPT). Issuing drawing/serial numbers, creating, editing and maintaining ADEPT library cards, controlling storage and distribution of drawings to perspective units. Processing wide variety of work from CD disk to ADEPT and ADEPT onto CD Disk. Initiating the ordering of basic office supplies, stocking/inventory and maintaining a neat appearance of the Supply Room located within CEU Cleveland. Assigning the duties of Property Custodian which includes maintaining current custodial records for all General Personal Property (GPP). Assisting Business Section on various duties and/or projects including answering phone calls, directing visitors, retrieving/distributing incoming mail, copying/printing and scanning as needed and when directed. You qualify for the GS-06 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent the GS-05 grade level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work Examples of specialized experience include:
must possess a variety of administrative and clerical support skills including filing, copying, data entry, inventorying, shipping/receiving items via FEDEX/UPS, main telephone switchboard skills and usage. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience):

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule, C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
