Licensed Practical Nurse - Scheduler (Medicine/Endoscopy)

The major duties include but are not limited to:
- Determining patients' readiness for scheduling for outpatient and inpatient appointments and procedures. - Advising medical staff on the need for tests and labs for both outpatients and inpatients. - Coordinating inpatient and outpatient Endoscopy procedure appointments. - Reviewing the Endoscopy procedure schedule with the leadership team. - Providing direct clinical support to the Endoscopy lab and the Endoscopy medical staff. - Working with residents to prepare patients for surgery and interventions. - Triaging of patient complaints over the telephone or virtually. - Calling patients to schedule and confirm Endoscopy related procedures at the main medical center and at Outpatient Surgery Center (OSC). - Managing Endoscopy lab consults and procedures. - Coordinate with various sections/services to confirm scheduling and resource availability. - Answering phone calls and answering general patient questions in a clinical setting. - Scheduling and triaging of the Endoscopy patients, including managing and scheduling preprocedural testing. Must be a graduate of school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing. Must possess a full, active, current and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or District of Columbia. Grade Determinations:
GS-7. Completion of at least one (1) year of additional qualifying experience at the GS-6 level or equivalent, fully meeting all of the performance requirements for the GS-6 LPN/LVN. Knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position:
Knowledge and skills necessary to carry out more specialized patient care duties, including assignments in selected, more complex inpatient and/or outpatient care settings. Knowledge base promotes the incorporation of current patient care data in actively contributing to the development of the patient's overall health plan and in carrying out assigned nursing interventions. Ability to assist RN and/or MD/DO to appropriately prioritize overall patient care needs and adjust plans for care delivery. Ability to make astute observations of subtle, less obvious changes, both physical and emotional, in patient's condition, and accurately and thoroughly documents care delivered Ability to appropriately seeks assistance and guidance by informing RN or MD/DO of changes in patient's condition requiring higher-level intervention. Ability to proactively assist the RN or MD/DO in addressing patient's needs for medication/treatments, accurately administering prescribed medications/treatments and appropriately recording Demonstrates the knowledge and ability to readily recognize the more subtle signs and symptoms of potential or actual drug reactions, Demonstrates the ability to assists individuals or groups of patients and their families to take an active role in promoting healthy lifestyles for more positive patient outcomes. Demonstrates skill, creativity and initiative in contributing to the improvement of overall care delivery and patient and/or family satisfaction Demonstrates comprehensive practical nursing knowledge and skills in specialized procedures and practice References:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
