Located in Valley View, Ohio, Harley-Davidson Dealer Systems (HDDS) provides dealer management software, computer hardware, training and support for the Harley-Davidson dealer network. Join our team as a Quality Assurance Analyst.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for working within a team to create, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts, in support of dealer systems. Additionally, this position is responsible for executing and coordinating internal and external test phases, investigating and troubleshooting application issues, and working with developers to identify and document problem areas and contribute to constructive solutions. These responsibilities are to be accomplished according to the defined software development release plan. Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance to established usability and performance standards, as well as communicating risks and issues in support of the release of high-quality software. The position is responsible for gaining business and technical expertise in dealer systems.

Expected to keep abreast of changing technology to enhance their skill set in addition to finding ways to continuously improve processes and responsibilities in their job.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes test plans, test cases, and test scripts, according to design specifications.
  • Communicates test results clearly and concisely, including the documentation of defect details.
  • Provides feedback on design documents, ensuring that the usability, flexibility, and understandability are accommodated and that user interface standards are followed.
  • Contributes to the planning and estimating of testing efforts.
  • Works with team members to prepare the software for complete operational status
  • Works with Knowledge Center (customer support) representatives and team lead to assess issues and enhancements reported by dealers.
  • Consistently performs work according to the prescribed software development methodology and quality assurance methodology, to attain repeatability and consistency.
  • Maintains competency in quality assurance procedures and techniques.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience Requirements

Required

  • Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in testing and quality assurance methodologies and practices.
  • Demonstrated communications skills to effectively provide and receive information relative to assigned projects
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills to identify and explain constructive solutions.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to handle changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and quality measures.
  • Demonstrated success in a team-oriented work environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with Agile (Scrum) software development methodologies
  • Experience with the TALONes application or other dealer management system
  • Functional knowledge of retail, motorcycle, or automotive industries is a plus.
  • Experience writing queries against a database is a plus.
  • Experience with automated testing tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work with various electronic forms (MS Word, Excel, or similar applications).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
